Don’t Kill The Pastors!

The best of men are at best, still men. Regardless of the level of anointing present upon the life of a man, he is still first and foremost a man. That is why it is important not only to recognize the anointing, but also to recognize the character and humanity of the man or woman of God. What makes the difference is the grace of God that covers their humanity with His divinity when they are operating under the anointing. Knowing this is a very critical step in maximizing values from your relationship with them; but many believers have failed to recognize this and have unwittingly destroyed many Ministers and potentially impactful ministries. Most of these Ministers started well and truly meant well. Many of them have missed it today, no thanks to various factors resident in the church. Not outside the church! Many are on the verge of missing it. Many are struggling to retrace their steps back to God. Honest supernatural agents of change are fast becoming a rarity, endangered species, in the rotten world of hypocrisy, where the god of the belly holds sway.

Many great Ministers and ministries are on the slippery path to hell because of doting congregations who are hailing them to destruction.

Good Pastors are at risk! Not from witches, wizards, occultists etc. The risk is paradoxically not from without, but from within the body. Men and women of integrity in the leadership of the body of Christ are at risk from their own skin. The devil is smart enough not to make the enemy so obvious, because he knows that routing them would be easy for the praying leaders. Good Ministers of the Gospel are at risk from five different, but close relationship quarters, which are:

Doting congregation

Associate Pastors

Women

Spouses

Wrong Association.

Let’s take a look at each of these factors:

Doting Congregation

Many great Ministers and ministries are on the slippery path to hell because of doting congregations who are hailing them to destruction. Many congregations are largely populated by babes in the faith whose sustenance is tied to their Pastors. Many believers have refused to grow up and have become prayer projects for their Pastors. It is strange to see believers who have just come out of a very heavily anointed service, where the Minister of God operated under very uncommon grace still wait in line to see the man of God for special prayers. You will wonder whether the miracles they are looking for comes by the man or by the Word of God. For most, until hands are laid on them, no prayer is considered effective. If the Senior Pastor has not prayed for them, they have not been prayed for. All other Pastors carry sub-standard anointing! Testimonies are directly related to when the man of God touched them, prayed for them or anointed them. God, the miracle worker is de-emphasized; and man, the medium becomes the focus.

The subtlety of this is so strong that before long, the Minister begins to look at him or herself as much more than what he or she really is.
